The ancestral know-how of upholsterers

The art of upholstery has been perfecting itself over centuries. Not much has changed in the art of upholstery since the 18th century, except for a greater focus on comfort in the 19th century, epitomized by the invention of springs.
Most tools of the trade haven't changed, as artisans still use straight and curved point needles, skewers, regulators, nail punches and webbing stretchers. But as time passed, trends have changed and upholstery has had to adapt to the evolution of functionality in furniture and new materials. We have shown that we could adapt to new trends without eschewing tradition.
