The « Amis des Grands Ateliers » society.

The Amis des Grands Ateliers society is an association aiming at building strong relationships among art collectors, connoisseurs and amateurs along with major players in the high French arts and crafts, art design and lifestyle, in order to protect and promote the ancestral know-how.

The idea emerged from connoisseurs and art collectors willing to share their interest in the cultural richness of high art craft and the values it reflects.

Hence, the Amis des Grands Ateliers society works on creating tight bonds between handicraftsmen and a circle of enlightened amateurs wishing to deepen their knowledge of this universe.

By entering at the heart of these traditional and reputed art workshops and contributing to cultural exchanges around them through privileged visits to where those craftsmen have expressed themselves, conferences, publications, manifestations, trips and other thematic activities, SAGA participates in the protection of the quality French art craft know-how.

SAGA is an association governed by the law 1901. Under the presidency of his Honour, Pierre-Christian Taittinger, in charge of the commerce delegation of art craft and liberal professions, with Jean Bergeron, who is at the origin of the Grands Ateliers de France, acting as president and Laurence Bonnet, long time general representative, as vice-president in addition to the other founders members, François Chaillet, a lawyer, and Eric van der Berghe, a banker.
