Les Grands Ateliers

Les Grands Ateliers is an association of Maisons or workshops working in the arts and decorative arts and which strive to preserve their professions and practice them at the highest level.

Founded by Jean Bergeron, the association consists of a Comité d'Honneur and a Comité de Parrainage (fostering/sponsorship). The members all share a love of objects, the search for perfection and, last but not least, a respect for tradition. To safeguard, promote and transmit, its objective is also to uphold and support rare trades, to show that these great craftsmen remain affordable for the general public and that 'true luxury is not outdated but, on the contrary, more and more valued all the time.' True quality at an affordable price: a luxury or a real necessity ?

The members of Les Grands Ateliers are rigorously selected. Every year, this small circle is put to the test through a system of re-co-opting, whereby candidates must be supported by two sponsors. The indissociable criteria of high standards and excellence ensure that quality is retained. The Maison Brazet is proud to be part of this association and, moreover, to have played an active role as founding member. Remy Brazet, treasurer from 1993 to 2000, was President of Les Grands Ateliers de France from 2001 to 2004.
