MUSEUMS
A guardian of age-old techniques the Maison Brazet makes a point of dealing with each piece of furniture according to its history. It works with all the best fabrics and trimmings manufacturers.
By virtue of its experience, know-how and unique archive it brings a wealth of information to complement the curator's research work in positioning a décor, a suite or a single chair in the right historical context.
Generally acknowledged as one of the best upholsterers, Jacques Brazet imbued his work with such care that he was noticed by the French chateaux-musées such as Malmaison and Fontainebleau during the mid nineteen sixties as well as the most prestigious institutions, the ministries and the Elysée.
After three years studying in the Ecole du Louvre, his son Remy joined him in 1983 and undertook a solid practical apprenticeship with the company.
